Packaging Reverse Logistics

The post-consumption packaging of a given product are examples of materials that can be better directed after their final consumption. At Brandili, 100% of post-consumption plastic packaging is subject to reverse logistics through environmental compensation.

Thus, in a partnership signed with New Hope Ecotech, Brandili has the right to use the eureciclo seal for its contribution to the circular economy and the guarantee of reinserting the equivalent quantity of commercialised packaging into the production cycle.

In the year 2021, 24.7 tonnes of plastic were offset, an amount that benefited 23 recycling operators. In 2022, Brandili will offset 27.5 tonnes of the same material.

The positive impacts of this initiative go beyond environmental issues, since it represents an average additional income of 15% for the sorting operators that collect, segregate and send the packages for recycling. Thus, the activity becomes more attractive and increases the demand for recycled materials.

The partners are also closely monitored regarding the working conditions of their employees - since many live in vulnerable conditions - and child and/or slave labor, among others, is expressly forbidden.
